Futures Design methodology
Future Landscapes of Intimacy publication’s research and overall design process was informed and guided by Bespoke’s Futures Design Framework. Our Futures Design methodology integrates tools, methods and mindsets from the design process and theoretical frameworks from the strategic foresight practice.
This research piece consisted of two pillars. Firstly, a desktop research which was conducted to identify a diverse range of signals of change within the intimacy landscape. We gathered them interacting with academic, commercial and news articles, podcasts, educational videos and SoMe scanning.
Equally important, we talked to experts within the field of intimacy during one of our Horizon Dialogues live events, hosted at our Copenhagen studio in December 2021. This special gathering was an intimate evening where we spoke openly with a group of inspiring people from different walks of life, interests, and expertises around the topic of intimacy, sexuality, technology and the social sciences.
